Yoga Teacher Training

Learn to teach Yoga at Sala school

Facilitated by Sarah Lindsay, with help from Kirsty van de Geer. Whether you feel called to teach yoga, or merely crave the spacious, immersive quality of a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, Sala School is a place to explore, embody and recharge. Run over six weekends in Ponsonby, we invite you to step into your Yoga practice like never before.

The Sala YTT is Yoga Alliance accredited and has been lovingly developed so that you may deepen your understanding of Yoga but also be empowered to find your own, authentic voice as a teacher. Yoga is not limited to asana technique or technical instruction. At the heart of yoga, there must be an inspiration – a feeling or an attitude, which fills the practice with life, so that your yoga becomes a force that transforms your life in line with your own highest intentions.

There is a non-refundable $500 deposit. The remainder of the course must be paid in full before the course begins.

Testimonials

Love from past students

“From the opening weekend to the closing ceremony, this YTT was absolutely life changing. Coming into it with an open mind and curiosity, I was constantly blown away as we learnt about asana, mythology, anatomy and most importantly more about ourselves. Sarah and the other teachers each brought a special and particular flavour of teaching which helped shape the course to be well rounded. I felt like we were learning from different angles and through different lenses with each teacher which I thoroughly enjoyed. If you are curious about doing the course, I would strongly encourage you to get involved. This teacher training will not only teach you more about the yoga poses you see in your classes, but it will give you valuable tools that you can use in your day to day life. Yes it is a big commitment of your time, but by week 6 you will be wishing it was 6 weeks longer!”

Nathan Reynolds

“The SALA teacher training is enriched with timeless depth and knowledge delivered by Sarah and the accompanying teachers. Sarah holds space to encourage students to explore their authentic Self, and then use those tools to step into the role of a confident and inspiring yoga teacher. The SALA YTT provides the students with many layers of inspiration, and explores in depth the powerful teachings of yoga. This is a training thats teachings will remain with you long after the 200hrs, it is incredible.”

Monica Cronin

“Involving myself in Sarah’s yoga teacher training was like opening the doorway to a new connection. Connection into the seat of myself and using that connection to explore and embody teaching in an authentic way. Sarah’s emphasis on being true to your authentic self as a teacher, including each part of you to shape the experience, allowed me to truly step into my individuality as a teacher. The supportive environment paired with the knowledge received through anatomy, energetics, self development and yogic philosophy were everything I needed to begin this journey. A transformative experience that I would recommend to anyone.”

Samantha Veitch
